Some say he looks like my husband

Some say he looks like me

I see me in him more and more every day

His face, cooky sense of humor, expressions…

He hangs with me every day

Cool.

I am so happy for my friend Lizzie.  She found the man of her dreams!  He is funny and cute and so so so nice.  I was totally thrilled when she asked me to take her engagements photos.  We had a complete blast.  After all was edited and printed and delivered, she left me the sweetest message about how she now has to go shopping for all new frames because none of the ones she has are worthy.  Way to make me feel awesome!

I hope you enjoy them for a lifetime sweet friend.

Meet four week old Alex.  I just adore the crinkles where his cheek meets his chin.  Thank you Lisa for welcoming me into your home.

The day has finally come…..I harvested my garlic.  Last year, my Mom brought me organic garlic cloves straight from her friend’s garden.  I planted them in the Fall.  I watched them grow all winter and really start to pop in the Spring.  They grew like crazy.  My family enjoyed the scapes (flower stalks) in many of our home cooked dinners too – what a treat.  Then I sort of forgot about them.  Ya……I waited a bit too long before I remembered I needed to harvest.  Apparently, if you pass your window, the bulbs aren’t are tight and wont store as long.  My friend Tina (a total garden expert), said pull them right away.  I think I waited two days after she said that.  This morning, I set out to pull garlic.  Weeds had totally overcome the area (terrible).  I pulled anyway.  I was delighted to see actual garlic heads.  More beautiful than in the market.  They aren’t gigantic.  They are small but they are cute and they are mine.  Well, if you stop over….I promise I will share.  I started reading today about growing garlic (a tad late).  I have made some mental notes.  There is a process to curing them now too.  I have to dry them in an airy, dry area for a week or more.  Then cut the stalks and store in a cool, dry place.  I’m wondering where that will be.

Our sweet friends asked us to join them at Smith’s Point Beach.  We packed up dinner and a few sand toys and took off.  Hats off to Hubby for being semi spontaneous (love you babe).  When we got there, a reggae band was playing and the sounds of Bob Marley put us all at ease.  Our friends were there already and ran to us with open arms.  We munched down dinner, danced and then played in the sand until the sun went down.  The smiles on the boys were contagious.  You just couldn’t help but to feel happy.  We plan on doing this a lot this summer just because it is so awesome.

It has been KaRazy around here. Monsta turned 6 and between parties and E&S Photography and summer lovin weather, the blog has once again been neglected.

The end of the year is now around the corner. Baseball is coming to a close too. Swimming is major nowadays. You really can’t get the kids out of the water. I’ve tried.

Monsta is reading more than ever. The Super Fly Guy series definitely holds his interest. He reads it to his brother who nestles right up next to him. It has got to be one of the sweetest things ever.

I’ve been shooting a lot but been posting very little here. I’m going to try to change that.

Warning!!!!! Sweetness overload below…

During my daily stroll out to the garden, I actually was startled by this little fella…

He wasn’t frightened of me though, which only leads me to believe, I must be his God Mother. Remember this?  and this?  Surely, our history makes me a relative, right?

It was nice to see him.  I’ve wondered what happened to all those sweet bunnies that used to fit in the palm of our hands.  I think we have some sort of unsaid understanding though.  He leaves my garden alone and I set out treats for him.  It is a simple rabbit/human rule.

After saying hello to him, I examined the garden.  Things are growing nicely even though my soil is low in potassium.  This will be fixed this weekend.

On my way back to the house, these three dandelions were calling my name…standing so sweetly next to my path.

A picture perfect morning.
