Will go into more detail tomorrow while Ben is at school. I’ll have three hours to do stuff – WOW. For now, here are some photos of the kids from our BBQ on Saturday. I apologize that I didn’t get them all and I didn’t even pay attention to shooting the adults – Where is my mind?
I thought these were cute:

Monsta and the chicken

Sam with the cutest little pout

Chris showing off some swimming skillz

Jules bravely jumping

Rach striking a pose

Melissa and Andrew showing LOVE
My friend Bea called today and asked me if I would be interested in going to see Jason Mraz at Jones Beach tonight. She just so happened to have free Box seat tickets.
My answer: uh derrrrr, YES!
p.s. sorry I’m bailing on girls night but Jason Mraz, box seats uh derrrrrrrr.

Another shot from the twin shoot I did. I’ve always loved the small details.
If you missed the other shots, look here

I’m shooting my good friend’s four year old tomorrow at the Arboretum. I can’t wait because he just loves to smile and his lashes go on foreva!
Have a great weekend.

This past Wednesday was the first night that my Mom (Sherry Palencia) was teaching at Jones Beach Bandshell. She didn’t think we were coming but we ended up surprising her. She was thrilled! She had a fantastic turnout. About 400 people came out to dance with her. There was a full moon and the weather was perfect. Everyone was so happy to see her there. My cousins that I don’t see very often were there so that was really great too. Ben stood on stage most of the night. He was directing people where to go and holding the mic and dancing around. It was pretty cute to see. We have video of him but I couldn’t get the card to download the files for some weird reason. Maybe Craig can figure that one out.

Last night after we put the monsta to bed I spotted the bunnies. They were out. I got a pic and here it is. Can you believe that they are this BIG? I can’t…what is it, two weeks?

Check out that beautiful and delicious cake made by Sylvana!

Could not resist posting these.
Hope you are having a great day!

We are off to a great start. We celebrated with good friends at our house this year. It was really fun. Thanks Melissa for bringing over such swanky champagne. It was delish!
January will kick off something BIG for me. A new photography website is rolling out this week. Can you stand the wait? I will send out an email with the launch. If you aren’t on my mailing list, please write me and let me know your address.
Also, Flamenco classes start this Wednesday at Variations, a dancers studio. Located in Huntington. Beginner lesson starts at 7pm and Intermediate at 8pm.
My cousin (on Craig’s side) had a baby yesterday! Congratulations Aimee. Anna Lucille weighed in at 7lbs. 11oz. (same as Ben!)
So as you can see, things are busy busy busy. What are you up to? Care to share?

This past weekend we rented a cabin in the Poconos. It was a great house with hardwood floors, a big kitchen and many many bedrooms. There were ten adults and seven children. The kids had a blast just being there. Ben spent most of the weekend climbing up and down the staircase. I guess since we live in a ranch this was exciting (go figure!). The guys relaxed in the hot tub with beers and smoked cigars. The girls had no part of that and hung out upstairs with some wine. We rarely all get together like this so we ended up talking till way too late. I have to say I got inspired by many of the conversations we had. For instance: when I got home, I started redesigning the livingroom and basement, decided on some prints to blow up and hang on the walls, taped Baby Einstein (which Ben really liked – wink wink Beth) and tomorrow I’m going shopping! On Sunday we spent some time at the lake. It was cold and overcast but nobody cared. We skipped rocks, threw a football and took lots of pictures. I wanted to share this one photo of me and Ben. I’m loving the fact I actually got one of us together. I just love his big smile (thanks to Vesna for the jumping up and down trick). This is just so Ben.

The weekend was truly great. With that being said…..did I mention that when we got there, I realized that I left my bag at home? You heard me. grrrrr.
This was waiting on my bed when we got home:
