I’ve been enjoying my evenings making these ACEOs. It is relaxing and satisfying to say the least. This one was done last night. We were watching a new show called “Journeyman” which in my opinion, was the worst show ever! Thank God I was actually doing something else. So, as a result, “Serenity” exists. I’ve been meaning to really crank out some ACEOs to sell this Fall. What’s an ACEO you might ask?
ACEO stands for Art Card Originals and Editions. Artwork measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches, the same as a standard playing card. If you go to ebay and search ACEO you will see how popular these trading cards are. So, the other night, I started on my mission. This one is obviously inspired by the crisp air and the pumpkins we will be picking shortly. Have a look at my auction, send the link to friends and bid if you like it!

Chip and dip

Friday, September 14, 2007. Ben is officially walking. He got new kicks from his Grandma Harriet so he looks pretty cool to boot. He spent most of the day with Grandma yesterday, getting the new shoes in the morning and then going to dinner for her Birthday. He was super tired and drifted off to sleep when she put him to bed. I think it was the best present he could have given her! Happy Birthday.
We spent the holiday at my inlaws. It was a great meal and great company. Ben was decked out in his best duds and had a great time mingling with everyone. The boy shoveled in gefilte fish (I know right!) and noodle kugel and everything else that was served. He loved it! Little does he know Part II is tomorrow at our house.
………
Isn’t he handsome!
After Ben woke up this morning, we set out to walk to the local diner. It’s about a two mile walk each way. Ben loves strolling and pointing out all the…. EVERYTHING. Breakfast was good. It was no Craigfast but good. On our way back, we stopped at a house that had put some things out by the curb with a “FOR SALE” sign. Lo and behold, a children’s picnic table. We have been looking for one of those and there it was for $6. They also had a big sandbox in the shape of a boat. We couldn’t resist. The nice man even offered to deliver it in his truck. He was thrilled to get rid of it and we were happy to have it. He also threw in a cute little school bus toy which Ben has been playing with all day. Some people are just soooo nice!

Afterwards, we all went into the pool. Ben splashed and played until he was exhausted. Craig did yard work and I caught up on my relaxing. How peaceful it was. We ended the night with leftovers and Star Trek.
It was the perfect day.

This bowl was almost lost. It was about to collapse due to too much water. I let it set and then salvaged it. Now, I LOVE it!
