Timeless

October 28, 2007

We stayed at the The Country Living Inn when we went to Lancaster, PA.  Who knew it would be so good. It was so clean and the people were so nice and they made the best coffee in the morning.  I highly recommend them. They had a sweet porch with a bunch of handmade rocking chairs.  Ben took a liking to them.  I just love how he looks here. He always gives me that look that just seems so timeless.  I can’t believe he’s mine.

Can I interest you in a Gourd?

October 22, 2007

Spent the weekend in Lancaster, PA among the Amish.  What perfect weather we had.  It was sunny and warm but not too warm and a little breezy but not too breezy.  It was just the girls (Me, Mom and Jul) this time around and Benjamin.  This picture is upon arrival, we stopped at Stoltzfus Farm to check things out.

You can buy tons of meat there (which didn’t interest us) or eat family style (which definitely didn’t interest us).  We left there after Grandma purchased Samuel, a cute little Amish boy doll with a black hat.

We walked around the little towns and watched all the people shop.  I say that because the three of us are the worst shoppers ever.  We don’t like any of that country, crafty stuff.  So we strolled around and I took a lot of pictures.  Looking at the photographs now, one would never be able to tell we were even away.  They are mostly close-ups of Ben.  I just can’t help that you know - he is so freakin’ cute.  Here’s a couple of what seemed to be brother and sister selling painted horseshoes.

cute, right?  I’ll post more photos of the trip on flickr so be sure to check in.

Another ACEO for Sale

October 17, 2007

This is titled, “Pancake”.  It is for sale on Ebay and I would love for you to click on my AUCTION and take a peek.  I don’t typically do realistic drawings so you just might want to own it in case I become famous one day.  It would be very rare and worth a lot!  Ok, stop laughing will ya.  I’ll be happy if you just look and comment on this post.  Thanks and have a nice day.

NYC

October 10, 2007

This past Saturday we drove into the city to meet up with cousins on Craig’s side. We all met at the CMOM. The Museum was great because you could just let your kid loose in this gigantic room filled with cool, musical, interactive stations. The kids (Ben and Sam) had a blast.

Sam even brought a gift of books for Ben. Sam with gift
Ben loved this big circle.  If you waved your hands through it, it made harp music.   Creating music
The light stick board was cool too.  Ben was impressed how the stick lit up when he put it in the hole. This fits!

Pumpkin(s) picking Ben

October 8, 2007

Sunday started out with a diner breakfast and then a ride out East with friends to pick pumpkins and buy some local vegetables.  The weather was unbelievably warm and humid for this time of year.  Ben was amazed by how corn and pumpkins grow.  It was really cute to see him making his way through the field, tripping on the vines and getting filthy.  We all had a great time!  Here are some photos of the day…

Beach Baby

October 1, 2007

Mom and I took Benjamin to the beach last week.  He scooped and threw sand everywhere.  He walked down to the water and back a few thousand times.  He found shells and kissed them.  He saw seagulls closeup and tried to imitate them and he pointed to the ocean as if it was just another one of the things he needed to touch.

The sweet, salty kisses I took that day will never be forgotten.

I just love you
