We saw family that we haven’t seen in a long time today. Fun memories and stories were shared and spirits were lifted.
This is my Gram and Grandpa Jack (he passed before I was born) attending a wedding. If anyone has any stories or funny tidbits they would like to share, please comment. The family, would love to hear them.

I love you.
Gram passed yesterday morning and we are happy that she is in a better place now. We miss her terribly but her humor, love, spirit, wit and memory live on in all of us.

Since there a really no pictures of me and Ben, I decided to start using the self-timer function on my camera. It is hard to set up a shot but luckily Ben likes the beeps and holds still. I’m really pleased with this shot being that it was my first attempt.

Headed into Dunkin Donuts today for coffee and a man held the door for me. I said thank you and let him get on line first. He got up to the counter and stood in front of an employee. A moment after, I was asked if I needed help. I started to rattle off how I like my coffee when the supposed NICE man burst out with, “What about me?”. We both looked at him in shock. I said, “Are you not being helped? Please, go ahead of me, you were here first.” He turned and shook his head in disgust and walked out. What’s the deal with that? This has been bothering me all day. (a bit too long wouldn’t ya say) Why was that guy so angry? Didn’t he know it’s Friday? Why do people get so mad?
If you are one of those people, RELAX!

Back on Earth Day we started a compost bin. It’s so gratifying to know that we are doing something good for the earth. We have taken a lot of steps this past year to better the planet and better ourselves. Composting is an easy place to start if you are thinking of maybe doing something. I keep a covered, plastic container on my counter for organic scraps and then when it gets full, I (after being pestered by Craig) walk it out to the bin. You turn the bin daily (in my case weekly) to keep air circulating through. If you do this, it never smells. I dumped out a bucket full today and actually stuck my nose in to see…….NO SMELL! Pretty cool huh?
If you would like to learn a bit about the process check out this informative website epa.gov
