Ok, so many people have been asking me why they can’t see Ben pictures on my flickr account anymore. Well, the reason is, I switched my account to something called “Friends and Family”. In essence, Ben’s photos are now private. I needed to do this because of the outbreak of perverts out there stealing kids photographs off flickr and putting them on forums. Anyways…… that doesn’t mean you can’t see them. I have a bunch of contacts that I’ve granted access to. If you would like to be one of those contacts just open a free flickr account. Once you are signed in, you can leave me comments on my photos or email me through flickr. Identify yourself to me and I will switch you to f&f. Sounds complicated but it is really easy. Hope to see you on flickr!
Show me the Love…

Ben hugging Grandma on Easter.

Here is Mom and Pop. I’ve been waiting for a good picture to post of them. Finally, I think this one will do.
I will officially title this photo as…
“Parents: Represented”
Spring Cleaning and Cleansing.
My sister Julie stayed over this weekend and really motivated me. She helped me because I needed someone to do a “Yes/No” with me. You know what that is, right? You stand in your closet and pull out one thing at a time and the other person says, “Yes” or “No”. That simple really. Well to make a long story short…..I have an empty closet. No clothes. (Aunt Les, you need to stop over and pick up BAGS of stuff). I had so much stuff I never wore filling my precious space. Freeing myself of all that crap really makes me feel good. I would do a cartwheel right now if my hip didn’t hurt!
Spent a lovely day at my parents yesterday for Easter. My inlaws also came over for dessert. It was fun and delicious! Thanks

Droooooool!

The kid is really a good sport. His two year molars are coming in and except for the occasional short fuse (and of course drool), you would never know it. My Mom in Law is coming to babysit right now so I must get going. Have a great weekend and…..

Evidently a Class Act!

During our visit with Grandpa, we came across a binder of cartoons that he drew many years ago. The witty content and the perfectly drawn mechanical illustrations amazed me. He will always tell you that he is “different” in his many stories about his life. Stories about cars, inventions, writings and family. His uniqueness is a common thread and seeing these cartoons confirmed it. What he was doing then, was far beyond what anyone could comprehend. It really is something and to me the drawings are priceless.

We are back!

Visited Grandpa and then went down to South Beach. Nice to spend time alone and relax. It was short but needed. We had a great time.

I’m off!
Off to FLorida that is. Only for four days but it’s better than nothing. It’s the first time being away from Ben (sob) but I should be okay. Ben will have a ball at my Mom’s. Sorry no photo for you but my camera is packed. See you soon!

A Success Story
Craig bought me the Jessica Seinfeld book, “Deceptively Delicious” for Valentines Day. I had flipped through it a couple of times and thought she had some pretty good ideas for incorporating healthy foods into your kid’s meals. Well on Sunday, I decided to make her Tofu Nuggets. Ben loves chicken but how much chicken can I make. I thought tofu would be a great alternative for protein. It was easy to assemble and HE FREAKIN’ LOVED IT! I changed up the recipe a bit (I do that sort of thing) and it was so simple. Here is what I did:

Mix together some breadcrumbs, flax seed, parmesan, paprika, salt and pepper (you’ll need to buy the book if you need exact measurments or come over and look at mine : ))
Slice up some Tofu in nugget shapes.
Beat a couple of eggs and dip the tofu in.

Coat in the breadcrumb mixture.

Fry it up in some olive oil (or cooking spray).

Plated it with some Spaghetti and Broccoli with garlic and oil that Craig made.

Served….
and We Watched the delight!

Serving Two

Here is some of my new work. Two bowls. The bigger one is great for serving and the small one…well….
I made that one for my little cookie monsta. He knows I made it and everytime he eats out of it, he puts his little hands around the bowl and says, “Mama”. With his husky voice it sounds so darn sweet.
Have a great weekend!

Current

I’m so happy I got this shot. Of course not everyody came that day….there are husbands and kids missing. We had a great time. It is amazing how much time goes by. We haven’t seen some of the family in many years. It was awesome to catch up and discover that a few of us had a lot in common. I hope to be in touch more often now. I promise. Please leave me a comment so I know you were here and I’ll email you.
