Wednesday was the last day of Flamenco class.  We have been going strong for 17 weeks and let me tell you, my students are AWESOME!  They are dedicated to dance and so fun to be with.  I really enjoyed this past session.  Girls, (if you are reading this)  I applaud you.  I will send out an email shortly with the intructions to our dance (thank you Idee!).  I will also let  you know when my Mom starts teaching at Jones Beach.  It will be on Wednesday nights.  We can all meet up there.  My classes will start up again in September.  I’m taking a break for the summer.  YAY!

 Enjoy!

The Monsta is 2

I have a ton of photos from his fabulous Birthday party.  They are set to friends and family so you need to open a free account on flickr to view them.

Here is a peek at the Birthday Boy.

Happy Birthday Ben!

Sorry I haven’t been posting.  Things have been so busy around here.  Hopefully I can get myself on track with this and all the other things I have to do.  Ugh – it’s so hard to get everything done.

Peek A Boo

I see you!

Hope everyone is in good spirits this Monday.  Boy is it windy and cool out.  Brrrrr.

Aunt Ellen – I hope you had a great time in the city celebrating your Birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I have a busy week ahead and must stay on track with all my errands.  Ugh, I’m awful at staying on track!  Maybe a To Do list is in order.

Ready, aim, fire!

Jacen shot this plane at me so many times until I got this shot.  Take a look at it so you understand what I’m talking about.  Thanks for being such a sport cuz.

I like this photo of him because he’s not making a crazy face like usual.  See Jace, you’re a cutie!  (a crazy cutie)

He even has a cutie for a son…..

Now Jack, are you listening? Can you guess what this is?

You are right! Now, how many moths can you find? Are you counting with Mama? You are one smart kid!

Here is one more photo of Jazz and Allegra. (Ok, they are cute too) (my whole family is!)

Trick-kay

I’ve been having a time getting Ben to eat vegies lately.  He used to eat everything and now he definitely is getting picky.  UGH!  Why does that happen?  Does he not like things now or is this just a control thing?  Whatever it is, it’s happening.  Yesterday, we went shopping at Trader Joes (my favorite store) and they were giving out samples of hummus made from white beans instead of chick peas.  It was really delicious.  I bought it.  Today, I made Ben his egg and cheese omelet.  BUT….I beat in the hummus and sprinkled in some frozen spinach.  I put muenster in the middle and served as usual.  Do you know that the boy ate it all up!   Go me!  I think I have to be more sneaky from now on.  Does anyone have any recipes they would like to share?  I’d love to hear about them.

This shot was from Mother’s Day. Isn’t she pretty?

She’s funny, cool and a great dancer too. She’s the whole package.

I love you Mawm.

Little Flauta

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo a bit late with good friends.  BBQ’d skirt steak and chicken marinated in lime and garlic.  Served with tortillas, yellow rice, refried black beans and Guacamole.  It was a really nice evening.  This picture is of little Joey.  I just love his cheeks and if you heard is laugh, you would laugh too.  Hope you like it J & J.

Sushi anyone?

I’ve been working hard at the pottery studio this session.  I made lots of planters for this summer to hang and put on the deck.  It’s nice to be at the point where I can say, “Ok, I will now sit down and make a blank.”  Before, I would sit and try to center a hunk of clay forever and then try to see where that lead me.  I love the feeling of making progress.  Here is my latest….a small pitcher for soy sauce and bowl.  It charming and I can’t wait to use it.

Partaking

May 7, 2008

Ben has been battling a cough and cold since last Wednesday.  I brought him to the park the other day and on the way home he seemed like he was totally exhausted.  I gave him the fuzzy ball dandelion thingie to blow and he just couldn’t muster up enough energy.  The fuzzies all stuck to his lips.  It was kinda funny but I felt bad for him.

That kid!
