Super cold outside and the Monsta has a cold. Decided a little fun was in order. He certainly had fun stacking the books.

Don’t worry……I dressed him up warmly right after and tucked him into bed. zzzzzzzzzzz

it came
it fell
we played
he plowed and plowed and plowed
are noses were red
muscles (Craig’s muscles) were tired
soggy socks were placed next to the heater
we drank hot chocolate

priceless…….if I could bottle that feeling up, i would.
Monsta – Mommy can we make sumpin?
Me – Yes, sweetheart. What would you like to make?
Monsta – Sumpin from the box (Our cousin Rachel gave him this cool Box filled with Art projects awhile ago – perfect for those inside days)
Me – That’s a good idea
pulled out box
Monsta – (pointing to the pictures on the box) I wanta make dis dis and dis!
Me – Pick one thing because if we make too many things, we won’t have anything to do the next time.
Monsta – Ok, I wanta make da dawg.
Me – Good choice.
after some smushing and rolling and sticking and pressing and fixing…….

Me – Wow! Ben, look at what you made!
Monsta – It is bootiful Mommy. Now I wanta make da cow.
Me – Ok
he was an expert now.

Nice cow huh?
He was pretty impressed with himself. I love moments like these. I asked him if I could maybe take a picture of him with his two new friends. He said Yes.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot a good friend of mine. She is pregnant with twins! I posted a couple of her pics here but since I loved so many….I wanted to post more. She was full of fun and spirit and it came through in her photos. Ask me how much I love my job. Go on ask…….. I love it!

Leave it to Grandma to come over with a bag full of cream puffs for Ben. For those of you who know me, that doesn’t usually fly around here. I have been really good though. I understand that Grandparents have certain rights. Spoiling is one of them. But a BAG? Just for Ben? Given to him when she walks in the door, BEFORE dinner? Come on Mom!
The Monsta was lucky that he ate his entire meal. I think he was imagining the puff during every bite. Well, the time came….
for dessert:

He examined it, smelled it, lifted it up slowly and took a bite….

When his teeth sunk into it, it was pure ecstasy in his eyes…

The rest is history!

I’m off to tackle some much needed shopping for the holidays today. Picking up the Monsta from school and dropping him off at Mom’s house. Me and the babe will fight the crowds together. I wish I knew what people wanted…..everyone has everything nowadays. It is making it so hard to be thoughtful. I will do my best. Wish me luck!

Cub vs. Catapillar

Getting smiles left and right now.
I’m going to let these images speak for themselves.

……I <3 my boys
I couldn’t put my finger on it. The Monsta had been waking up in the middle of the night for many days in a row. Was it because he had the sniffles? Was it because he had a bad dream? Well, I laid down on his bed an said to myself, “Self, this bed is really uncomfortable!”. It was an old twin bed that was passed around and somehow it landed in my son’s room. It was really awful. Craig went out and purchased a nice, comfy new bed and our problem was solved. A little firm cushion made my boy have sweet dreams all night long. YAY.
He had to part with the old mattress. It was quite fun having it laid out on the living room floor. Here he is being Ben….

A couple of weeks ago, Craig and Ben were playing outside and I darted out there inbetween feedings. They were having so much fun that I wanted to capture it.

My handsome Hub. I just love all that salt and peppa going on!

Finally, a glance toward the camera.

and finally, the neverending tickles. If you could have heard his squeals – you would be sitting there with a HUGE smile.
It is times like these that I don’t ever want to forget. I look at Ben now and see the big boy he has become. What happened to those baby days? They are fleeting. Thank goodness that I love photography. Keeping these memories is just priceless to me.
