Some photos from the beautiful day we spent at Jacen and Melinda’s house. Thanks for hosting guys. Melinda did a terrific job for her first time. (I noticed all the little details girl!)

Spring is SpRinGiNg

In a nutshell…..Spring makes me happy! I look outside and inspect the yard. I see growth everywhere and even blooms stirring. It does something to my spirit I think. I would never admit I had the winter blues but……maybe I did. I’ve been cooking in the afternoon light and have had dinner basically on the table when Craig gets home from work. How wonderous. Last night was Bolognese and tonight is Australian lambchops. I must get in gear and go shopping though. Celebrating Passover early and I have to make my famous macaroons and horseradish. Here is David to brighten your day. Can you believe he will be six months in four days?

Loving this weather! It is so nice out that I feel like I have a new lease on life. We don’t have to rush into the house when we get home and I even started pruning some shrubs and plants today. As a matter of fact, I’m going out right now again. Ben just woke up and that is the plan. My pansies even came back from last year. How happy am I? I will leave you with this cheery photo of Cubby. Melt my heart.

Cookies

Yesterday, me and the Monsta baked. We made my cousin Allegra’s famous cookies. She had brought them to the cabin last month and we munched on them all weekend. They are totally awesome. She gave me the recipe and we tried. We didn’t get what she got but they are still pretty darn delish. I used whole wheat flour and oatmeal but didn’t have the almond meal that I think was needed. Oh well. The only downside to this is that there are cookies in the house!

It was all about the park

Last weekend we had such awesome weather that we really couldn’t stay inside. We all walked to the park and Ben played like he was unleashed. So vibrant and full of energy. It was really great to see. Being cooped up a lot over the winter really gave us ants in the pants. This weekend predicts rain but at least I have hope that Spring will be here sooner than later. Enjoy the drippy drops.

Can you stand it? This little cubby is such a delight. He is working really hard at trying to sit on his own now and grabs for everything in sight. His laugh can bring a smile to anyone and his twinkly eyes can melt you.

Had the pleasure of meeting this little cutie yesterday. She was so itty bitty I just melted. It is hard to believe that David was a newborn just five months ago. Already I can’t remember him being so tiny. He is pushing 17 pounds now and looks like a football player. I’m telling you, he could take other five monthers down right now.  Takes right after his bro. He also has his brother’s demeanor at that age.   So sweet and easy going. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
